Sponsored by the Ministry of State, Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production, and sponsored by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization (MTND), the seminar aimed to present the benefits of integrating Industry 4.0 into production systems in order to develop a competitive agriculture, capable of meeting current challenges.

The workshop on Data and Agriculture was held on January 24, 2024, by ESTIA and was broadcast live on Teams. The workshop discussed how data and AI are transforming agriculture, including digital farming innovations and international collaborations in the DEEP FARM project.

Since October, ESTIA has been hosting 14 students specializing in computer science and agricultural engineering as part of the Erasmus+ project: DEEP FARM. This program focuses on combining digital innovation with sustainable practices to improve agriculture in developing countries and support green transformation.

In today’s rapidly evolving world, technology is becoming a powerful ally in agriculture, addressing challenges that have plagued farmers for generations. At Deep Farm, we are proud to be part of this revolution. Recently, our brilliant students introduced an innovative web and mobile application designed to help farmers detect diseases in essential crops like rice, banana, cacao, and mango.

We are proud to share the first article about the Digital Agriculture Forum, a major event that we will be organizing in Biarritz in December 2025. This forum will mark the conclusion of our European project DEEP FARM and an important step for innovation in agriculture.

The cacao sector, a true economic driver of Côte d’Ivoire, is facing a persistent threat: the Cacao Swollen Shoot Virus (CSSV). However, a new era is emerging with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and aerial imaging technologies. The Deep Farm project is now positioning itself as a decisive turning point in the fight against this disease.

The Deep Farm project is an international initiative aimed at integrating advanced technology into agricultural practices worldwide. One of the key components of this ambitious project is the agricultural work taking place in the Dominican Republic, led by ISA University in collaboration with UTESA.

On February 20, 2025, we marked a remarkable milestone with the Deep Farm Student Mobility Closing Event at ESTIA! This celebration was the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and transformative learning as our students completed the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Program.

Exciting developments are unfolding in the Dominican Republic! 🇲🇶 ISA University has inaugurated an Experimental Banana Farm equipped with state-of-the-art agricultural technology as part of the DEEP FARM Project. This groundbreaking initiative, led by the ESTIA Institute of Technology in France and supported by Erasmus+ (CBHE), marks a major leap forward for digital agriculture in higher education institutions.

On Saturday, May 10, the DEEP FARM project was presented during the “Open Doors Day” organized by the European Union in Santo Domingo. This annual event serves as a platform to showcase EU-funded initiatives, fostering transparency, dialogue, and engagement with the public.
