Project Kick Off Meeting

As project Coordinator, ESTIA organized a Kick of meeting on January 23 for project partners as well as a Workshop on data and agriculture, on 24 January from 9am to 3.30pm, in amphitheatre 32 at ESTIA and
live on Teams.

Data will change drastically agriculture and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will accompany the services provided to farmers: from seed delivery to harvest through crop monitoring and irrigation optimization with what is called digital agriculture, smart farming, precision agriculture or agriculture 3.0.

The rationale of this workshop on data-centrics agriculture was two fold :

1. presenting the European project DEEP FARM that ESTIA will coordinate in the next 2 years with 6 countries through digital farms for family agriculture in its DATA LAB (with on-going proposals in the Basque country).

2. Introducing industry partners of this project and also key actors in digital agriculture : agricultural sensors, agricultural drones , IOT platforms, communication (LORA, ONEWEB,.), low-end robotics and
satellite imaging for landcape monitoring.
